His Lightkeepers was created from a deep love for children, storytelling, and faith.

Founded by author and illustrator Claudia Andrus, His Lightkeepers is a children’s publishing brand dedicated to sharing faith-filled stories that help young hearts feel seen, loved, and guided by God’s light. Through beautifully illustrated books and companion coloring books, we bring scripture-based stories to life in a way that is gentle, engaging, and accessible for children and families.

Claudia was born and raised in Guatemala City and moved to the United States at the age of nineteen. Her life experiences, faith journey, and love for children have shaped every page she creates. These books were born from her testimony of a loving Heavenly Father, who is in relentless pursuit of His children, and of Jesus Christ—the light, the life, and the hope of the world.

Our flagship series, “I Was There,” invites children to step into biblical stories as if they were present—learning timeless lessons of faith, courage, obedience, and love. Each book is thoughtfully written and illustrated to nurture spiritual growth, encourage meaningful conversations, and inspire children to see themselves as part of God’s story.

At His Lightkeepers, we believe stories have the power to do more than entertain—they can comfort, teach, and connect hearts across generations and cultures. With plans to expand into multiple languages and outreach programs, our mission is to share God’s love with children around the world, one story at a time.
