A Meal, A Friend, and A Book
One purchase can become two gifts.
During a Giving Event, every book purchased helps provide a book and a meal to a child in need.
Churches, schools, families, and community groups can host a Giving Event with us. Communities serving children in need can also request a Receiving Event, where books and meals are shared with children in their own language whenever possible.
How it works
How a giving event works
It started with a stranger's gift to a little girl who never forgot it.
Giving Events bring people together to purchase books, helping provide books and meals for children. Receiving Events bring those donated books, meals, and friendship directly to children in communities where they are needed.
During special giving events, each book purchased helps provide:
- One meal. A nourishing meal shared in a safe, familiar place through trusted local partners already serving their community.
- One faith-filled children’s book. A thoughtfully written children’s book, provided in the child’s local language whenever possible, offering stories of faith, hope, and encouragement they can truly understand.
- One moment of human connection. A shared moment of care. Reading together, listening, a coloring activity, or simply being present. Reminding each child they are seen, valued, and loved.
